What are the requirements of EN ISO 20471 Class 2 and 3 for high visibility clothing?
The initial retro reflection coefficient for separate performance retro reflective materials shall exceed 330 cd/(lx • m2) at observation angle 12° and entrance angle 5°; while the initial retro reflection coefficient for combined performance material shall exceed 65 cd/(lx ∙ m2).
Industries which need flame resistant protective clothing
Today, 28/06/2013 the "Official Journal of the European Union" published the new EN ISO 20471:2013 standard, officially replacing at the same time the existing standard EN 471:2003+A1:2007.
From today onwards, high visibility clothing will be certified according to the new standard.
A transition period is foreseen: standard EN 471:2003+A1:2007 will also remain valid until 30 September 2013.
